75th Anniversary Service
In January 1951 a new St. John Church (Evangelical and Reformed) began, with some former members of the old church and others as charter members. Meeting in what became Moody’s Pharmacy at 10509 Lincoln Trail, the first unit of the church was built in 1955 on the corner of Lincoln Trail and Pleasant Lane. The parsonage was added in 1957; the educational unit of the church in 1959 and the sanctuary addition in 1970. In 1957 the name became St. John United Church of Christ.
Eight pastors serviced from 1951 to the present time. The present church has served the community for 75 years. Inspired and guided by the heritage of faith, our mission has always been to serve the community and world in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are looking forward to celebrating our 75th anniversary with you. Please join us for worship on Sunday, August 9 at 10:00, followed by a reception at church. We are trying to contact as many past members as we can. If you know anyone who went to St. John in the past, please let them know and let us know their email address.
